This year's conference, part of the Beijing Humboldt Forum, will address a globally significant issue: the scarcity of key raw materials in the energy transition. From the explosive growth in demand for rare earth elements to the current surge in demand for lithium, achieving industrial defossilization in this context is a major challenge.
As a subforum of the Beijing Humboldt Forum, we will continue the tradition of previous meetings and combine the efforts of China and Germany in the lithium resource industry to explore how to contribute to the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions and the sustainable use of critical energy sources from both technological and economic perspectives. Specifically, we will explore how to form a new green innovation value chain and recycle lithium slag to provide technological and economic solutions for industrial defossilization. At the same time, we will focus on the development of lithium batteries and electric vehicles, promoting green transport and the spread of renewable energy.
